The TST R002 is one of the top sellers on TikTok Shop, so I wanted to see why. Assembly was easy. It came with all the tools, and it’s mostly the seat and wheels. Right away pedal assist one felt gutsy with good low end torque. Two gripes: the throttle is on the left side and I’m used to the right, and the throttle feels a little flimsy.

It shipped limited to 20 mph. We found two ways to unlock it. The easy way is the app, where you switch the e-bike class. The other is a button combo: hold the brake and three buttons until the light comes on, step through P1 and P2, and set P3 to 1 for high speed. Then power it off and back on.

Pedaling with no assist was smoother than I expected on the Shimano 7-speed. Assist two did about 11 to 12 mph, three about 14 to 15, four about 16, and five got me to 28 mph. I’m about 200 lb and 6’2″, so I think it tops out just under 30 for me. It climbed a steep slope with little momentum, and it was easy to lift into the truck. My daughter and I rode it together, and there’s a seat extension with foot pegs for two adults.

We got one to test and bought a second for my dad. At the time it was $576 on TikTok Shop for Black Friday, and around $799 on their site. For the money, it’s a lot of fun.
