Viking Profish Reload: An Offshore Paddle Kayak for the Money
I go over the Viking Profish Reload, a fast and stable offshore paddle kayak from New Zealand built for touring endurance and big fish.
What’s in this video
I’d been following Viking kayaks for a while and was very impressed. They’re made in New Zealand, where the owner, Grant, perfected the design for harsh offshore water. The Profish Reload is fast, stable and easy to manage on and off the water, built for anglers who want touring endurance plus the stability to land big fish.
I go through the design, the Profish Reload itself, the seating area, paddle height, dry storage and the other models in the lineup. At the time, the Reload was $1,339 and the Reload Z fishing package was $1,799.
