Silent North Inflatable Pedal Kayaks and Boats at ICAST 2025
At ICAST 2025 I walked the Silent North booth, a new inflatable brand with round boats, pedal drive boards and kayaks at affordable prices.
What’s in this video
It was raining in Orlando, but I made it to ICAST 2025 and stopped at Silent North. It’s a new brand launching this year, under a company that already has a history building inflatables. Peter walked me through the lineup. Their round boats hold over 600 lb, have a drop stitch floor with a pontoon rim, an adjustable motor mount and a pedal drive port that takes a fin style drive. They take two seats and come with rod holders, an electric pump, a manual pump and an emergency paddle.
The pedal drive paddle board comes with the drive in the box, plus seat, rod holders and pump, and was going to retail around $1,200 at the time. A newer model was expected around $1,500, and they’re adding welded seams, which I’m a big fan of. Their pro model has scuppers and a big rudder blade, and I liked that a lot because tiny rudders don’t turn worth a crap. There’s also a camo entry level wide board and a beefier round boat with accessory mounts and 360 degree rod holders. In the new product showcase they had a huge floating base camp boat at right around $1,000 at the time.
Key moments
Quick takeaways
- The round boats are rated over 600 lb and have a port that fits fin style pedal drives or a motor mount.
- The pedal drive paddle board ships with the drive, seat, rod holders and electric pump included.
- Silent North's pro model uses a big rudder blade, which should help maneuverability compared to narrow rudders.
