Uncharted Watercraft Portable Kayaks: Scorpion FX and Outbound GT
I take a look at the Uncharted Watercraft Scorpion FX and Outbound GT, portable kayaks built on a clamshell design.
What’s in this video
I saw these Uncharted Watercraft kayaks in person, the Scorpion FX and the Outbound GT. They use a clamshell design that changes what portable can mean for kayaking. Before this, portable kayaks were inflatables, folding sheets or wrapped canvas systems. These give you a durable kayak hull that still packs down.
I’m looking forward to getting them on the water. Whether you fish or just paddle for fun, they’re worth a look.
Quick takeaways
- The clamshell design gives you a hard, durable hull in a portable kayak.
- There are two models: the Scorpion FX and the Outbound GT.
