Uncharted Watercraft Outbound Portable Fishing Kayak Review
I unbox, assemble and paddle the Uncharted Watercraft Outbound, a portable fishing kayak that breaks down and rolls on its own wheels.
What’s in this video
The Outbound rolls like luggage, and it assembles with no tools. It’s 11’2″ long, 34″ wide and 70 lbs with a reported 500 lb capacity, though I only put 350 lbs on it. It packs down to 60″ by 34″ by 22″, so it fits inside a lot of vehicles.
On the water it was stable and paddled easily. I liked dropping my feet in the water to turn it, and the build felt robust. The downside: on choppy water you feel each wave twice because of the two hull design. Hatches were a bit hard to open with wet hands.

Quick takeaways
- It packs down to 60" x 34" x 22" and has wheels built in.
- The twin hull means you feel chop twice, so it's less ideal for big ocean waves.
- Dangling your feet in the water gives a comfortable seating position and helps you turn.
