What’s in this video

This is part 1 of my kayak livewell project. The main thing I wanted to show here is the wireless remote. With it I can change the flow rate of the livewell without reaching back to the tank, and I also show off the LED lighting on the bait tank.

To be clear, this livewell was not finished yet. My wire connections and battery placement were still rough, and I still needed to add a handle and a rod holder to the tank. I just wanted to share the remote function early. The remote and the container I used are linked in the description, and the finished version comes later on the channel.

Quick takeaways

  • A wireless remote lets you change the livewell flow rate without reaching behind you.
  • Plan your wiring and battery placement early, it is the part that was still unfinished here.
  • A handle and rod holder on the tank make it more useful on the kayak.
