Hobie Pro Angler 14 Stability Test: Two Guys, One Kayak, Big Fish
My brother Phil and I put two people on one Hobie Pro Angler 14 at Gavin's Point Dam to bowfish, troll and test its stability.
What’s in this video
My little brother Phil and I took one Hobie Pro Angler 14 out on the Lewis and Clark Missouri River waterway at Gavin’s Point Dam in Yankton, SD. Part 1 is bowfishing at the dam, going after Asian carp, grass carp, gar and spoonbill paddlefish.
Part 2 is kayak fishing from the Pro Angler with both of us standing and fishing at the same time. While trolling a Rapala diver rig I accidentally caught a rare prehistoric fish, and when we brought it in its whole family surfaced like dolphins. I wish I had more video of that.
Quick takeaways
- The Hobie Pro Angler 14 held two people standing and fishing at once.
- We trolled a Rapala diver rig from the Mirage drive kayak on the Missouri River.
