The Versa Rudder drops into any standard 10mm rudder pin hole and can replace most other rudders. It has a 90 degree Slide & Stow mechanism, a kick-up feature for shallow water and a lock-down for running in reverse. Use V-Arm steering with existing rudder lines, or pole steering if you have none.

Good to know
- Choose V-Arm steering if your kayak already has rudder steering lines, and pole steering if it doesn’t.
- The motor should sit about 2 to 3 in below the waterline, so check your stern height (pin top to motor top is 12.25 in).
KayakDIY take: A rudder that doubles as a motor mount is a clever two-in-one for a DIY build. For more options, see my best kayak motors guide.
