Insert the Motordrive into the Overdrive pedal housing and the pedals disengage, so you switch from pedaling to motoring in one step. A hand remote controls forward, reverse and speed, and an LCD display shows battery and speed in real time. It runs on a 48v 20Ah battery, which is not included.

Good to know
- You need a Feelfree Overdrive pedal system already in the kayak, since the Motordrive runs through it and is not a standalone motor.
- Dorado owners should look for the 48v decal on the battery box, because the Motordrive is not plug-and-play with the 12v Dorado V2 box.
KayakDIY take: I like setups that let you paddle, pedal or motor from the same boat without adding a separate motor mount. For more options, see my best kayak motors guide.
