The kit uses a pulley system and a cleat so you can slide the attachment point forward or aft and hold the boat downwind or downstream. You deploy an anchor, drift chute or stakeout pole off the side of the cockpit and adjust from there. It fits all Hobie kayaks.
Specs at a glance
- Compatibility: all Hobie kayaks
- System: pulley and cleat, adjustable bow to stern
- Works with: anchor, drift chute or stakeout pole
- Anchor: not included
- Warranty: full manufacturer warranty
Good to know
- The anchor is not included, so pick one that suits the bottom and current where you fish.
- Pull the anchor point fully to the bow or stern before you drop anchor, so the kayak faces into the current instead of sitting sideways.
KayakDIY take: An anchor trolley is one of the best rigging upgrades for anyone who anchors in current or wind. For setup ideas, see my kayak anchor system guide.
