This cushion is a collaboration between YakGadget and Kayak Kushion, a maker of watercraft seat cushions. It uses firm but comfortable foam wrapped in water and mildew resistant fabric. One-inch cam straps lock it down to your kayak seat so it stays put while you paddle or pedal.
Specs at a glance
- Foam: firm but comfortable
- Fabric: water and mildew resistant
- Straps: 1 in cam straps
Good to know
- Check that your seat frame has a spot for the cam straps to wrap around before ordering.
- Let it dry out of the sun after each trip to keep the fabric fresh.
KayakDIY take: Seat comfort decides how long you actually stay out, so a cushion is worth thinking about. For more options, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
