The LowPro Crate drops into your kayak’s rear storage area and is held down with a bungee cord. Its angled dividers lean boxes toward the seat, it holds #3700 Plano boxes lengthwise without dividers or #3600 boxes horizontally with them, and it comes with three rod holders and a soft cover that lifts for access.

Good to know

  • Measure your tankwell against the 17.5 x 14 in outer footprint before ordering.
  • If the crate sits too low or doesn’t fit the well, YakGadget sells LowPro riser feet separately.

KayakDIY take: I like any crate that keeps the boxes facing me so I’m not twisting around mid-drift. For more storage and rigging ideas, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
