The Axis plugs into a 2″ receiver and works either upright as a rear load bar or flat to extend the bed. The VersaRail attaches to the cab roof on vacuum tower bases and straps, giving the front of the boat a padded place to rest. It adjusts for height and width and needs no extra tools.

- Confirm your truck has a 2″ receiver before ordering.
KayakDIY take: A bed extender plus a cab rail is a cheap way to haul a long boat on a pickup. For more transport gear, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
