The 78 in lower bars sit 22 in from the ground, so large rec and fishing kayaks load without a big lift. The 50 in upper bars ride at 58 in and carry the Cargo16 box and Fishing Rod Storage Tube, rated to 100 lb. A spare tire with lock, submersible LED lights and a 2 in Class II receiver round it out.

KayakDIY take: A low bed plus a rod tube up top covers most of what a two-angler trip needs. For the rest, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
