Malone lowered the bottom load bar supports so the 78 in bars sit just 22 in off the ground, which makes heavy kayaks easier and safer to load. The 50 in upper bars sit at 58 in and take up to 100 lb of extra gear. The galvanized trailer can be backed down a ramp, and the LED lighting is submersible.

- Kayak carriers are not in the parts list, so plan to add bunks, saddles or J-racks for your boats.
- Expect three to four hours of assembly with standard tools; it arrives in four cartons.
KayakDIY take: A 22 in loading height is a big deal when the boat weighs more than you’d like to lift. For the gear to go with it, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
