Garmin Striker Fish Finders and Kayak Mounts for Budget Anglers
I interview a Garmin rep at ICAST about the Striker fish finder series and the mounts that make them work on a kayak.
What’s in this video
Another subscriber request from ICAST. I sat down with a Garmin rep to see what they offer kayakers, and Garmin clearly has kayak anglers in mind. The Striker series is becoming a popular pick for kayakers and anyone on a tight budget because the units are affordable and packed with features.
At the time of the video, the Striker 4 was $119, the Striker 4DV was $179, the in-hull transducer mount was $20 and the Striker 4 portable kit was $199. I had no contract or sponsorship with any fish finder maker when I made this.
Quick takeaways
- Prices at the time of the video: Striker 4 $119, Striker 4DV $179, portable kit $199.
- Garmin's in-hull transducer mount was $20 at the time, a cheap way to mount the transducer on a kayak.
- The Striker line is a good fit if you want features on a tight budget.
