Kayak Launch System Demo With a Hobie Pro Angler 14 Pedal Kayak
I demo the Kayak Launch KW5 with a Hobie Pro Angler 14 to show how it handles a big pedal drive kayak.
What’s in this video
This demo shows the Kayak Launch model KW5 with a Hobie Pro Angler 14, a big pedal drive kayak. The KW5 has a 5-step ladder with 4 ft of travel from the seawall or dock to the water, 6 ft long bunks and a 43 in wide clear entry.
It’s a ladder, hoist and launch in one, made of welded aluminum and stainless steel, and four bolts hold it to the wall. Kayak Launch doesn’t recommend sitting in the kayak while the winch is running.
Quick takeaways
- The KW5 has a 5-step ladder with 4 ft of travel, 6 ft bunks and a 43 in wide clear entry.
- It handles big pedal kayaks like the Hobie Pro Angler 14.
- Stay out of the kayak while you winch it up or down.
