Live Watersports Paddle Board Rigged With a 6hp Outboard at ICAST
At ICAST 2023 I toured the Live Watersports booth and saw their 14 foot L4 Expedition paddle board rigged for a 6hp outboard and electronics.

I headed to ICAST 2023 and stopped by the Live Watersports booth. They do custom paddle boards, including art boards with Miami artist Estrada Art and logo boards, and a custom marine mat. Their pitch is stability. People even dive off these boards.
Then Austin from Custom SUPS walked me through the rigged L4 Expedition, their 14 foot board. The aluminum engine bracket is set up so you can run in inches of water, and he says it’s the only paddle board out there that truly planes out. The engine brackets are rated up to 6 horsepower, so you can go electric or run a small gas outboard like a Tohatsu, Mercury or Suzuki. Rails down the middle take rod holders, coolers and speakers, and the front utility deck pad can carry a dog, a passenger, a cooler or a trolling motor and a Garmin or Simrad finder. They also showed the Drifter, done with Jimmy Buffett’s Last Mango Boatworks, with proceeds going to vets.
