Testing New Perception and Wilderness Systems Pedal and Paddle Kayaks
I put several new Perception and Wilderness Systems pedal and paddle kayaks on the water to see how they compare.
What’s in this video
In this one I get on the water with several new kayaks from Perception and Wilderness Systems. I start with the Perception Outlaw 11.5, a paddle kayak, then the Perception Crank with the Pilot Drive pedal system.
From Wilderness Systems I paddle the Patrol 120 and pedal the Recon 120. The Tarpon series was there too, but I didn’t test it on the water. If you’re deciding between pedal and paddle from these two brands, this gives you a side by side feel for each boat.
Key moments
Quick takeaways
- The Crank uses the Pilot Drive pedal system.
- The Outlaw 11.5 and Patrol 120 are paddle kayaks, while the Crank and Recon 120 are pedal kayaks.
