Riot Mako 10 and Mako 12 Review: Budget Pedal Fishing Kayaks
I review the Riot Mako 10 and Mako 12, two of the cheapest pedal kayaks out there, and test their speed and stability on the water.
What’s in this video
These Riot Mako kayaks cost over $2000 less than a Hobie Pro Angler or Outback, and I wanted to show what you can expect from them. Riot provided them for review, but I kept it fair and honest. At the time of the video the Mako 10 had an MSRP of $999 and the Mako 12 was $1299.
I start with the Mako 10 features, go over the rudder system, then the Mako 12. Both use a 7.5 lb pedal drive with an 8:1 gear ratio and have a 470 lb weight capacity.
Then I put them on the water, test speed, flip them to check stability and share my final thoughts.
