Riot Mako: A Rotomolded Pedal Kayak Under $1000 at ICAST 2018
I found a rotomolded pedal kayak under $1000 at ICAST 2018, the Riot Mako, and I go over its Impulse drive and features.
What’s in this video
At ICAST 2018 we found a rotomolded pedal kayak under $1000 (price at the time). The Riot Mako series uses a pedal prop drive called the Impulse drive, and it comes in a few material options. I go over the series, the drive, the kayak’s features and design, and the drive’s durability and options.
In my opinion the look and feel of the kayak and the drive are great, and it feels like a real value. It’s designed for anything from freshwater to saltwater surf launches. Riot is even bringing out tandem pedal kayaks.
