What’s in this video

I’ve always driven past golf courses and wondered what’s in those ponds. So I headed to the other coast of Florida to meet HoodFishing Entertainment, IBEFISHING and Extico Lyfe Fishing. Not giving away the spots, of course. We hit a bunch of HOA neighborhood ponds and finished at golf course ponds.

First, the sponsor. Into The AM paid us 500 bucks to talk about their clothing. I like their basic tee packs because I’m practical and don’t like spending much on clothes. Instead of keeping that money, I gave it all in cash to Sonia, who ran a taco food truck I went to often. She lost her truck and her home in the hurricane and has little girls to take care of.

Then I made it a challenge. I stopped at Walmart and picked out a PAW Patrol kids rod and the smallest micro rod I could find for the guys. They still caught fish. HoodFishing landed bass on the PAW Patrol rod, and on the micro rod he hooked a snakehead. We had a big fish snap a line at the golf course, and a few moments later we got redemption with a bullseye snakehead. Turns out no fishing signs might just mean big fish.

Quick takeaways

  • A cheap kids rod from Walmart was enough to land bass in neighborhood ponds.
  • Snakeheads are in Florida ponds. They are air breathers and can survive out of water, so handle them carefully.
