Kysek K12 Hunting and Fishing Kayak: First Look With Cooler
I check out the Kysek K12, a foam injected fishing and hunting kayak from the cooler company that took over KC Kayaks.
What’s in this video
Kysek, the cooler company, bought KC Kayaks, which were known for high end fishing and hunting kayaks. My friend Rex from ActionHat paddled a KC for years and I always liked them. Kysek rebranded it and made some refinements.
The K12 is foam injected like their coolers, which makes the hull stiffer, more stable to stand on and unlikely to sink even if you flip. The long seat tracks double as mounting points for rod holders from the popular brands. There’s a V-Lock transom mount in back, and it comes prewired for a trolling motor.
Quick takeaways
- Foam injected hull is stiffer, more stable to stand on and hard to sink
- Long seat tracks take mounts from Scotty, YakAttack, YakGear, Railblaza and Ram
- A V-Lock transom mount makes adding a trolling motor easy
- Prewired for a trolling motor so the deck stays clean
