FishHunter Directional 3D and Pro Portable Fish Finders First Look
I look at the FishHunter Directional 3D and Pro portable fish finders, which pair with your phone or tablet and do 3D mapping.
What’s in this video
These FishHunter units were some of the coolest electronics I saw at ICAST 2016, and I liked them so much I had one sent to me for testing. They aren’t toys and don’t feel like toys. They’re solid and well built, and I’m not afraid to sling one out with a fishing rod. They work with iOS and Android devices.
The Directional 3D does 3D mapping, and you can save those maps to integrated GPS maps and navigate back later. I plan to map some Sanibel Island bridges near me to find the structure the Goliath groupers hide on, then do a full review.
Quick takeaways
- Both units pair with iOS and Android phones and tablets.
- The Directional 3D saves its 3D maps to GPS maps so you can navigate back to a spot.
- They're castable, so you can sling one out on a fishing rod.
