Scout Inflatable Boat: A Portable Dinghy for Exploring Florida Islands
I bought a Scout inflatable boat after seeing them used offshore and as yacht tenders, then took it out exploring Florida islands.
What’s in this video
I saw Scout Inflatables being used offshore in California and as tender dinghies for yachts, and I had to buy one. I didn’t get it free, just a small discount because of the channel. I didn’t think my favorite watercraft would be an inflatable, but here we are.
I took it out exploring Florida islands. It can run my 6hp Yamaha four stroke, my Bixpy Jet or a trolling motor like a Minn Kota. It’s light, stores in a closet and fits in a compact car, so you don’t need a trailer, yet it can take a small family out fishing. Scout makes the 365 and the 430.
Quick takeaways
- It can run a small gas outboard, a Bixpy Jet or a trolling motor.
- It stores in a closet and fits in a compact car, so no trailer is needed.
- Scout offers two models, the 365 and the 430.
