No Drill Anchor Trolley for a Kayak: DIY Tutorial
I show how to rig a no drill anchor trolley on a kayak with cheap parts, so you can position your anchor line and face your spot.
What’s in this video
An anchor trolley lets you move your anchor line along the kayak so you can face where you need to when fishing. This version needs no drilling. I use a fixed eye pulley, paracord, a Nite Ize CamJam carabiner, a Nite Ize Figure 9 carabiner and a stainless steel ring.
I mention a zig zag cleat as an option, but that one does need drilling. I’ve used this DIY setup for my anchors for years, and it has held up well and made fishing better.
Quick takeaways
- No drilling needed: paracord, a fixed eye pulley, a stainless ring and two Nite Ize carabiners.
- A zig zag cleat is an optional add, but it requires drilling.
- This setup has held up for years of use.
