The Feelfree Dorado 125 Overdrive is not a kayak you carry under one arm. It is a 12-foot-10-inch fishing platform with a pedal drive, a hull you can stand on all day, and a drive system that can take an electric motor when you are ready for one.

I have pedaled a lot of boats that felt fast but twitchy. The Dorado is the opposite kind of boat. It feels planted. The cathedral-style hull gives you three contact points on the water, which is why standing to pitch a jig or sight cast feels so calm. If your fishing style is standing up and covering water slowly, this hull makes sense.
Who This Kayak Is For
The Dorado fits anglers who want maximum stability and a drive they can grow with. Tournament guys, bigger anglers, and anyone fishing open water with wind and chop will like it. It also fits tech-minded anglers, since the boat comes pre-wired for electronics with a transducer pole mount, a battery box with USB ports, and LED deck lights for early launches and late returns.
Stability and On-Water Feel
At 37 inches wide with a trimaran-style hull, the Dorado is one of the most stable pedal kayaks in its class. Standing casts feel easy, and boat wakes that would rock a narrower hull just roll under it. The Beaver Tail rudder and 8-ball hand steering keep it turning well for a big boat. The cost of that stability is weight and effort. This is not a quick little creek boat. It tracks straight and handles chop, but you will feel its size when you accelerate.

Seat Comfort
The patented Gravity Seat is a high-back framed seat that adjusts forward and back, and it is genuinely comfortable for long days. You sit up high, which gives you a great sight line for spotting fish and makes pedaling efficient. The high seat position also makes it easier to stand up and sit back down, which matters more than it sounds when you do it fifty times a day.
Storage and Rigging
Rigging is where the Dorado earns its keep. Uni-Track rails run along the sides and rear tankwell, there are four flush-mounted rod holders with tie downs, a deck rod storage area, and oversized bow and stern storage with bungees. The keel has a built-in wheel for dragging it to the ramp. The 2026 updates added better deck drainage, a lifted bow, an improved bow hatch, and integrated bow-to-stern wiring, so running a fish finder is close to plug and play.
Pedal Drive Performance
The Overdrive is a pedal drive with forward and reverse, built from cast aluminum parts that feel tough. Pedaling is smooth, and the spring-assisted deployment drops the unit in the water easily. The big story is the motor option. The Overdrive accepts a Motordrive electric motor (sold separately), and the newer boats use a 48-volt battery box setup. That turns the Dorado into a pedal-plus-motor hybrid for long runs to distant spots. Just know the battery and motor are separate purchases, and older 12-volt gear is not compatible with the 48-volt box.
Honest Drawbacks
Weight is the headline. The published 124 pounds does not include the seat or the pedal drive, so the assembled boat is heavier still. You will want a trailer or a good cart, and car-topping it solo is a two-person job at best. Because of the size and the motor-ready design, this is also one of the pricier pedal kayaks. If you fish small ponds and carry your boat to the water, look at something lighter.

Feelfree Dorado 125 Overdrive Fishing Kayak FAQ
Can you stand and fish in the Feelfree Dorado 125?
Yes. The 37-inch cathedral hull is one of the most stable platforms in its class, and the padded standing area is built for it.
Does the Overdrive drive have reverse?
Yes. The Overdrive pedals forward and backward for holding position and maneuvering around cover.
Can you add a motor to the Dorado 125 Overdrive?
Yes. The drive accepts an optional Motordrive electric motor (sold separately). Newer boats use a 48V battery box, so match your battery generation.
How heavy is the Dorado really?
The 124-pound published weight excludes the seat and pedal drive, so plan for a heavier assembled boat and use a cart or trailer.
