Who This Kayak Is For

This is the boat for the serious bass or inshore angler who rigs everything. If you run a fish finder, a shallow-water anchor, rod holders, a camera, and maybe a bow-mount trolling motor, the Pro was built with you in mind. Tournament anglers will appreciate the horizontal rod tubes that keep four rods rigged and protected.

Casual weekend paddlers can look at the standard PDL 120 and save money. The Pro earns its price in rigging, not in basic paddling.

Stability and On-Water Performance

The DoubleU hull is one of the most stable pedal kayak platforms made. You can stand and fish with confidence, and the 36-inch beam stays planted in chop. The PDL drive gives instant forward and reverse with a 5-year warranty, and it is saltwater ready with minimal maintenance.

A rudder is included, which helps a 12-foot pedal boat hold a line in wind. The drive docks in and out easily for launch and landing, so you are not grinding the prop on the ramp.

Comfort and Seating

The Element seating system adjusts on a shuttle track for leg length and has a breathable mesh cover that drains and ventilates. Lumbar support is good for full days of pedaling. The seat is light at 6 pounds and removable.

The thinned gunnels are the quiet upgrade here. They open up the cockpit so your knees and elbows have room, and they make the tankwell wide enough for a full-size crate.

Storage and Rigging

This is the Pro’s home field. Four 36-inch aluminum tracks run nearly bow to stern on both sides, plus a small track on the bow that doubles as a grab handle. That is 150 inches of mounting space for anything you own.

The bow hatch was redesigned to fit large batteries with a tie-down point. For the battery, I recommend the WattCycle 12V 100Ah mini LiFePO4 battery with Bluetooth — it runs most 12V trolling motors up to 55lb thrust plus a fish finder, and it’s compact and light. The stern has a round hatch for hull access, two four-hole inserts for shallow-water anchors or motors, a universal trolling motor mount on the bow, and thru-hull wiring ports so you never have to drill. Three flush-mount rod holders plus horizontal storage for four rods cover your sticks.

Honest Drawbacks

At 131 pounds assembled, this is a heavy boat. Car-topping it solo is not realistic for most people, so budget for a trailer or a bed extender. The price is premium, and by the time you add electronics and a motor you are deep into the money. The pedal drive also adds draft, so skinny flats mean pulling the drive and paddling.
