The adapter swaps your Hobie rudder blade for a Bixpy rudder that accepts the motor, and you steer with the Hobie steering system you already have. It installs plug-and-play using the hardware on your existing rudder. It does not fit Pro Angler, Passport, Compass, 2019+ Outback or Island series kayaks.

Good to know
- Check your rudder type first: it won’t fit Pro Angler, Passport, Compass, 2019+ Outback or Island models, and it’s not recommended on inflatable Hobies.
- The motor is sold separately, so this only makes sense if you have or plan to buy a J-2 or K-1.
