The Navy 6.0 Evo uses a brushless direct-drive motor running on 39-60V, with ePropulsion’s E-Series batteries recommended. It supports hydrogeneration, so a sailboat can recover charge while under sail. You choose from several Evo controls, but the control system, battery, charger and communication cable are all sold separately.

Good to know
- Plan for the extras: a control (tiller or remote), battery, charger and communication cable are not included.
- Rinse it with fresh water after salt water use, as the manual asks, and keep up with the 50, 100 and 200 hour checks.
