The NT600 uses a brushless direct-drive motor with passive cooling fins for quiet running, an IP67 rating and an LCD display for speed, battery and voltage. It works with non-proprietary 48V batteries, and the tiller handle is ambidextrous. The carry handle is removable, and the motor can be adapted for remote steering.

KayakDIY take: This is a skiff motor, not a kayak motor, but the non-proprietary battery is a nice plus for DIY wiring. For kayak options, see my best kayak motors guide.
