Instead of a transom clamp, the bracket bolts through the deck near the centerline, and the motor lifts and stows in place. Both versions have five forward and three reverse speeds, a three-blade prop and a battery level indicator. The 55 lb model runs on one 12V battery, while the 86 lb model needs a 24V system.
Specs at a glance
- Thrust options: 55 lb or 86 lb
- Voltage: 12V (55 lb) or 24V (86 lb)
- Weight: 23 lb (55 lb version) / 25 lb (86 lb version)
- Speeds: 5 forward, 3 reverse
- Mount: deck mount, bolts through the deck
- Battery: not included
Good to know
- The 86 lb version can’t run off a single 12V battery, so only choose it if your boat is set up for 24V.
- Installation means drilling through your deck, so confirm you have clear deck space near the centerline before ordering.
KayakDIY take: This one is built for pontoons, not kayaks, but the 12V versus 24V choice applies to any trolling motor build. For kayak-sized motors, see my best kayak motors guide.
