The Suspenz Universal Flat Rack uses two steel arms that bolt flush to a wall, with straps slung between them so the boat hangs instead of resting on hard bars. It works with Suspenz free-standing frames and comes in Safety Yellow powder-coated steel or a Marine Grade Black version with stainless hardware.

Good to know
- Both finishes use a steel base, so the maker notes it will rust in salt-water environments. Keep it away from salt spray if you can.
- Check your boat’s beam first: anything wider than 34″ needs a 2×4 spacer behind the rack.
KayakDIY take: Hanging a boat on straps is easy on the hull over a long off-season. For more storage and rigging ideas, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
