The Rack and Roll 78 uses an aluminum frame with independent suspension and Yakima RoundBars that accept any Yakima mount. The tongue and wheels come off, and rear rollers let you stand it upright in the garage. It isn’t meant to be submerged at boat ramps.

Good to know
- Kayak mounts are separate, so budget for the Yakima carriers you want on the bars.
- Don’t back it into the water: it is built to take boats to the water’s edge, not to be submerged.
KayakDIY take: A light trailer keeps boats low and easy to load. For more transport gear, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
