Bixpy Swim Jet Review: Underwater Propulsion for Snorkeling
I review the Bixpy Swim Jet after a few weeks of use, including a reef trip in Key West, and explain which edition I bought.
What’s in this video
The Bixpy Swim Jet has been a blast the past few weeks. My family and I took it to Key West to explore a reef, and it worked flawlessly and beat my expectations. The speed and battery life impressed me. After two outings it still had 3 bars left.
I bought the Scuba Edition for the bigger battery and slightly negative buoyancy, which makes diving easier. It feels weightless and slowly sinks, so I wear a tether on my wrist. The Snorkel Edition floats slowly to the surface instead. I’m saving up for the mounts that let the same motor run on kayaks and paddleboards.
Quick takeaways
- Scuba Edition: larger battery and negative buoyancy. Snorkel Edition: smaller battery but floats.
- The Scuba Edition sinks slowly, so wear a wrist tether.
- The same motor can go on kayaks and paddleboards with Bixpy's mounts.
