Harbor Freight Kayak Trailer Part 2: Telescoping PVC Bunks Mod
In part 2 of my Harbor Freight kayak trailer build, I add a telescoping bunks mod made from PVC pipe and elbows.
What’s in this video
This is part 2 of my Harbor Freight folding trailer that I converted into a kayak trailer. I use it with my Hobie Tandem Island and my larger fishing kayaks. This time I’m adding telescoping bunks.
The mod uses 2 inch or bigger PVC pipe (10 feet long), two 2 inch PVC elbows, PVC cement and primer, and PVC cutting tools. I’d go with a better cement and primer than the one I used. If you missed how I set up the trailer in the first place, check out part 1.
Quick takeaways
- Supplies: 10 ft of 2 in or bigger PVC, two 2 in PVC elbows, PVC cement, primer and a PVC cutter.
- Use a better PVC cement and primer than I did.
