The NuCanoe F10 is not trying to be fast. It is trying to be the most stable 10-foot boat you can stand up in, and at that job it succeeds.
The NuCanoe F10 is not trying to be fast. It is trying to be the most stable 10-foot boat you can stand up in, and at that job it succeeds. At 39 inches wide with a 500-pound capacity, this little Access Series kayak fishes more like a small skiff than a typical compact yak.

Who the NuCanoe F10 Is For
This is a river and small-water boat, plain and simple. If you fish creeks, small lakes, ponds, or marshes, the F10 gets you in and out of tight spots with zero drama. The Access Series is also built with hunters in mind. It is dog-friendly, tough, and the wide open deck has room for a retriever, decoys, or a second small seat.
Stability: Stand Up With Confidence
Stability is the whole point of a NuCanoe. The F10 has a wide, flat deck that feels more like standing on a dock than on a kayak. You can stand, cast in any direction, and move around without that tippy feeling you get in narrower boats.
Seat Comfort
The Access Series uses a comfortable framed seat with good back support for long days. The seat sits up a bit higher than a molded-in kayak seat, which gives you better visibility and keeps you drier.
Storage and Rigging
The deck is 20 inches wide and lined with NuCanoe’s Freedom Track, so you can mount rod holders, a fish finder, or a camera anywhere you want without drilling holes. The open layout is the real story. There is no cluttered cockpit boxing you in. The square transom is motor-ready and pairs well with a Power Pole. The one trade-off is the stern. Space behind the seat is tight, so you may have to choose between a crate and a cooler.
Paddling and Motor Options
Here is the honest truth. The short, wide hull is not fast. It is very maneuverable, and it will spin on its own axis in a tight creek, but do not expect to keep up with longer kayaks on open water. The good news is you do not have to. The transom accepts a trolling motor or a small outboard up to 2.5 HP, which solves the speed problem completely. It also accepts NuCanoe’s Pivot pedal drive if you want hands-free power without a motor.
Honest Drawbacks
Speed is the main one. If you regularly paddle long distances, the F10 will wear you out faster than a longer, narrower boat. The stern storage is limited, as mentioned. And while the open deck is great for moving around, it also means your gear is more exposed to spray and rain than it would be in a boat with sealed hatches everywhere. A dry bag is your friend.
