Some kayaks are boats. The NuCanoe Unlimited paired with a Minn Kota Terrova is more like a compact bass boat that happens to be paddleable. It’s a 12-foot 6-inch, 41-inch wide open deck platform with a bow-mounted trolling motor, and it’s built for anglers who want to fish big water without a boat payment.

This bundle includes the NuCanoe Unlimited kayak, the Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor, the quick release bracket, and the bow mount motor kit. It’s a complete package.
Who This Kayak Is For
This setup is for the serious angler who wants maximum versatility. Tournament fishermen, big lake anglers, and anyone who fishes wind-blown water will love it. It’s also for the DIY rigger who enjoys building the perfect setup, because the Unlimited is basically a blank canvas with a motor.
If you fish solo or tandem, in fresh or salt water, and want pedal, paddle, or motor options down the road, this hull does it all.
The Terrova Motor: Why It Matters
The Minn Kota Terrova is a 55-pound thrust, 12-volt bow-mount motor with a 36-inch shaft and electric steering. Bow mounting is a big deal. The motor pulls the kayak instead of pushing it, which gives you better control and tracking than a stern-mounted motor.
Spot-Lock is the headline feature. It’s GPS anchoring that holds your position against wind and current while you fish. Hit the button and the boat stays put. For offshore structure fishing or working a shoreline in the wind, it’s a genuine advantage.
Electric steering means precise, quiet boat control. You can jog your position a few feet, follow a contour, or hold on a waypoint without touching a paddle.
Stability and Handling
The Unlimited hull is 41 inches wide with a 650-pound max capacity and a 400-pound self-bailing capacity. In plain English, it’s one of the most stable kayak platforms you can buy. Standing to sight fish feels natural, even in chop.
The open deck is the other big selling point. There are no molded cockpits boxing you in. You get a wide, flat working area with over 22 feet of aluminum Freedom Track for mounting seats, electronics, rod holders, and accessories anywhere you want them.
The Tarpon Drainage System with seven scuppers keeps the deck dry. Water drains out instead of pooling around your feet.
Seat and Comfort
The 360 Fusion Seat is one of the best seats in kayak fishing. It swivels a full 360 degrees, so you can turn to face your rods, your graph, or the cooler behind you without standing up. It slides on tracks too, so you can trim the boat for solo or tandem seating.
The seat is comfortable for all-day trips, and the open deck means you can stretch your legs or stand up whenever you want.
Storage and Rigging
Rigging is where the Unlimited earns its name. The 22-plus feet of top-load aluminum track let you bolt down almost anything: fish finders, rod holders, livewells, camera mounts, and Power Poles.
There are two flush mount rod holders, an XL transducer pod for clean fish finder installs, and wiring access plates built into the hull so you can run cables without drilling. The GearPod gives you on-demand covered storage up front.
The tank well and open deck swallow crates, coolers, and camping gear. With a 650-pound capacity, you can load it heavy and it still performs.
Honest Drawbacks
Weight and transport are the trade-offs. The hull is 84 pounds, and once you add the motor, battery, and gear, you’re moving a lot of weight. A trailer is the realistic answer for most owners.
It’s also a serious investment. Quality motorized setups cost real money. And while the open deck is amazing for rigging, it offers less built-in dry storage than kayaks with sealed hatches everywhere. You’ll want dry bags for anything that can’t get wet.
