The kit is a sturdy handle with a large rotating grip on a 15′ long, 1″ wide cam strap. You can cut the strap down to the length you want. It installs and removes easily and is fully adjustable, so it works as a drag line on land or a pull-up strap from the seat.

Specs at a glance

  • Strap: 15′ long, 1″ wide cam strap
  • Handle: large rotating grip
  • Adjustment: fully adjustable, can be cut to length

Good to know

  • Set it up at full length first and only trim the strap once you know the length that works for you.
  • Seal the cut end of the webbing with a lighter so it doesn’t fray.

KayakDIY take: A simple strap handle is the kind of small add-on that makes getting up from a low seat much easier. For more options, see my fishing kayak accessories guide.
