The Mossa 97 uses the XPDL drive, which combines pedal drive, electric propulsion, GPS SpotHold and cable-free 360 degree steering in one drop-in unit. It has three modes (manual pedal, Sync Assist and full electric with powered reverse) and ships with a 48V 15Ah battery and charger. 87 inches of wraparound track handle rigging.
Specs at a glance

- Width: 40.5 in
- Weight: 66 lbs hull, 132 lbs rigged
- Capacity: 400 lbs
- Drive: XPDL electric pedal drive (29 lbs) with GPS SpotHold

Good to know
- Runtime depends on mode and conditions, so carry a paddle and do not rely on battery power alone for long runs.
- Load the 66 lb hull and the drive and battery separately; it is much easier than moving the 132 lb rigged boat.
KayakDIY take: Pedal, motor and spot-lock in one drive is a lot of capability in a short boat. For more options, browse all my kayak reviews.
