Bixpy Motor Repair: Replacing the Propeller and Intake Grill
I show how I repaired my Bixpy motor after sucking a rope into it, replacing the propeller and intake grill with just a hex key and wrench.
What’s in this video
The Bixpy has been one of my favorite watersports products. I use it on kayaks, paddleboards and even handheld for snorkeling. Then I sucked some rope into it and broke a propeller, and I broke the intake grill getting the rope out. First time I’ve broken any parts on it.
Here I remove the thruster nozzle, pull the propeller, pop off the intake grill, unbox the new parts and reassemble it. Total repair cost was around $15 at the time, which is less than most trolling motor props, and the job can take as little as 3 to 5 minutes. I like knowing I can fix it myself instead of shipping it off to a factory.
