Boonedox Drifter Portable Hammock Stand: A Quick Look
I take a quick look at the Boonedox Drifter portable hammock stand and the rainfly and bug net I use with it.
What’s in this video
This is a quick look at the Boonedox Drifter, a portable eight piece hammock stand that comes with a carrying bag. It’s heavy gauge extruded aluminum with a silver powder coat finish, and the frame is weight tested and rated to 400 lbs.
I use the hammock that came with the Drifter, plus a Chill Gorilla rainfly and bug net, though there are several great brands out there. I also like Bear Butt hammocks for their no hassle lifetime guarantee. If you have a longer hammock, the Drifter frame extenders add a foot of width.
Quick takeaways
- Rated to 400 lbs: 10.5' long, 31" wide, 37" high at each end, 22 lbs carrying weight.
- Optional extender poles add one foot to the frame width for longer hammocks.
- Add a rainfly and bug net for a more complete camp setup.
